Job Description: E-commerce Compliance Manager
Position Overview:
The E-commerce Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing e-commerce operations. This role requires strong knowledge of e-commerce compliance requirements, along with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The E-commerce Compliance Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective compliance programs and strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of e-commerce compliance regulations and best practices.
2. Monitor and analyze changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and communicate their impacts to key stakeholders.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
4. Ensure the company's e-commerce platforms, processes, and policies comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
5. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
6. Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on e-commerce compliance requirements.
7. Investigate and respond to compliance-related incidents, inquiries, and complaints, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
8. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the e-commerce industry, identifying potential compliance implications.
9. Build and maintain relationships with external partners, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to stay informed about compliance-related developments.
10. Prepare and submit required compliance reports to relevant authorities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce compliance management or a related role.
3. In-depth knowledge of e-commerce compliance regulations, such as data privacy, consumer protection, electronic transactions, and advertising regulations.
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey compliance-related information to diverse audiences.
6. Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and controls.
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a high degree of attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
9. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
10. Proficiency in using tools and software related to compliance management and reporting.
